Friction engineers have taken several different paths to address these tough noise, dust and safety performance issues. Most focus on only two design parameters, such as formulations and noise insulator add-ons, like shims. This "half-way" approach has helped to some degree, but technicians are still left with too many comebacks and unhappy customers.

To solve this problem once and for all, Mighty System XL® engineers start with a "Tier 1" O.E. design pad and then apply as many as eight construction parameters that affect noise and performance on each specific vehicle platform. Factors such as:
